I studied the Fortune Teller's Mah Jongg from August 2008 to about January 2009 and found I hardly ever put it down.
Following a brief break whilst leaning the Angel Cards, I am now back using these and have been since the middle of May 2009.

There are 34 cards with white borders who's design is repeated 4 times making 136 cards, on top of which there are 8 Guardian cards which have gold borders, making 144 cards in total.
If a Guardian comes up in a reading it will indicate the issue is very important.

Pictured above are the 42 different cards used to make up this deck

I use a different spread to the official Mah Jongg one at the bottom of the page

This eight card spread used five less cards than the previous incarnation and will normally take about 10 minutes to read.

A 10 minute reading booked with me and using these cards will be a general reading using 8 cards you choose, layed out in the above pattern. Although each position has a general meaning in itself, they also indicate approximate months. Starting at the bottom card will be things what are happening now, the next one will be about a month away and so on. This is only general and doesn't work out exactly like that but that is a rough rule of thumb.

Using the same spread for a 20 minute reading will give you the opportunity to ask a question. This will be covered by the first 8 card/10 minute reading and will be followed by a second reading, which as above, will be a general one.

A 30 minute reading will be similar except you get to ask two questions, each covered by its own individual reading then ending with a general reading.

The cards would normally be laid out like this

The centre card will represent the issue you want to know about, the three at the bottom are what is said to be in the East position and these represent you and how you feel about the issue.
Going anti-clockwise, the next three, in the South, are future events, normally in the near future, round about the three months mark.
Those at the top are the West cards and I've found these could mean lots of things, as East is about you, West sometimes represents a partner or loved one. Sometimes West will represent problems along the way, but more often than not in a reading it seams to represent a further stage in the future.
The final three on the left are the North cards, representing the far future, I'd say on average 9 months to a year.
